The Orange Beach Festival of Art is a juried fine arts event held at the Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach and Waterfront Park, March 8-9. It is a celebration of visual, performing, musical and culinary arts. With more than 90 artists working in a dazzling variety of medias, festival-goers always have plenty to see, hear, touch, taste and experience. Festival Hours:Saturday: 10- 5 Sunday: 10 – 4 The Festival of the Arts is a completely FREE festival.
BBQ AND BLUES!
The South Baldwin Chamber Foundation’s Sixth Annual BBQ & Blues Cook-Off will be held 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 15 at Heritage Park in Foley, Alabama. This year’s presenting sponsor is Riviera Utilities. Festival goers will enjoy award-winning barbeque, popular blues bands, craft and retail vendors, children’s activities and silent auction bidding. Admission is $10. The cooking competition is open to everyone with the $100 entry fee covering all cooking categories and up to six team members. Interested cook teams can find the entry form and competition rules on the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce website under Major Events/BBQ & Blues.
The Gulf Coast Arts Alliance Art Market, in partnership with the City of Gulf Shores, will be April 5th from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm at Meyer Park in Gulf Shores. Local and regional artists will display for sale their original works of art. Visitors can expect to see pottery, paintings of all mediums, jewelry, textile, carved wood and metal arts.

Have bags of beads lying around your home? Give them to a great cause! Your donated beads will be sorted and repackaged by ARC Gateway- Pensacola, supporting our community’s effort to recycle and reuse materials instead of generating waste; generating revenues that help to sustain their programs; and providing vocational training and job opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. You can drop off your bead donations Monday- Friday between 8-5, at our studios located at 2421 E 2nd Street in Gulf Shores.
